East View seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer responsible for design, development and support of high complexity web-based solutions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support and maintenance of the production and test environments.
  • Configuration/tuning of Oracle and Postgres databases.
  • Analyze capacity/performance requirements of Oracle and Postgres databases for optimal efficiency.
  • Building of database schemas, procedures, and permissions.
  • Server software installation and configuration for Linux servers.
  • Support for Palo Alto and Juniper based network (Switching, routing and security).
  • Demonstrate deep understanding for optimized topology and network segmentation.
  • Develop, support, and maintain Juju and Kubernetes Dev/Ops environment.
  • Application of system updates.
  • Troubleshoot system related issues.
  • Develop shell scripts applicable for administrative tasks.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
  • Work with other IT team members to help provide a high level of IT systems reliability.
  • Respond as needed during off-hours to system failures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of similar experience.
  • Strong ability to perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting on Linux servers.
  • Experience with Apache Solr search engine.
  • Experience with AWS cloud solutions.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and related technologies.
  • Shell scripting experience in Linux and Windows batch and Perl.
  • Understanding of complex networking.
  • Experience with Palo Alto and Juniper network solutions.
  • Configuration of network load balancing. F5 Big IP experience preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring solutions. (Cacti, Nagios or similar)
